Our Promise to the Land

Scotland’s natural beauty is at the heart of everything we do, shaping the way we craft our designs. Our wool is 100% British, sourced from Highland sheep, directly from our local farmers - naturally strong, beautifully textured, and made to last.

A fully renewable and biodegradable resource, it offers fire-resistant, insulating, and soundproof qualities, perfect for home interiors.

Wool, Revalued

Launched in June 2022, The Highland Clip was created to champion Scottish craft and support the crofters and small-scale farms of the Highlands.

Once a cornerstone of the region’s economy, Highland wool has seen its value dwindle as hill sheep are replaced with low-maintenance breeds. But to us, its strength and durability make it perfect for our flatweave carpets and tweed. With The Highland Clip, we’re restoring wool’s place as a prized Highland commodity and inspiring more community-led initiatives across Scotland.

In partnership with South Clunes Farm in Inverness, we formed our first collective of three local farmers. Together, we clipped, bagged, and transported our first batch for grading - before sending it off for spinning, weaving, and finishing. From field to factory, it’s a fully traceable cycle that ensures farmers receive a fair price for their fleece and gives us complete transparency over the wool’s origins.

We’ve already pledged to purchase 10,000kg of Highland wool over the next three years - and as demand for our carpet, tweed, and throws grows, so will The Highland Clip, bringing more farms and crofts into the fold.
